Description (brief): Square back Windsor arm chair with 3 plain curved cross splats in the back. Single ring & concave turned legs which mortice through seat, terminating in lower ring & straight turned feet. Legs connected by turned H-form stretchers. Sawn back uprights with connecting curved stay rail. 2 narrow plain cross rails below with scribed edge lines. Shaped arms morticed & screwed to back uprights, supported by shaped & flattened arm supports morticed & screwed into sides of seat.
back uprights step/shoulder jointed into seat with round tenon; flat shaped sawn arms morticed & screwed to back bow & morticed to underarm supports.
Chair back: square back; sawn back uprights with connecting top rail; 2 narrow plain cross splats below; all have scribed edge lines
Splat type: 2 plain curved cross splats with upper & lower scribe lines
Front legs: single ring & concave turned legs with lower ring; Type B (fig TV31)
Back legs: single ring & concave turned legs with lower ring; Type B (fig TV31)
Feet: straight turned feet
Stretcher detail: H-form elliptical turned stretchers with decorative cross stretcher
