Physical description

Oil on canvas portrait in a carved pine glazed picture frame decorated with openwork scrolling acanthus foliage and with corner decoration.

Content description

This portrait depicts a bust length portrait of a woman encircled by an imitation stone surround. The woman is shown wearing a low cut white tunic with a frilled collar and she has a dark blue and burgundy coloured sash over one shoulder. Her hair is parted in the centre with ringlets on either side.
