Content description

This print depicts a woman shunning her father by standing with her back to him, her face turned to the side and holding up her left hand defiantly. The father, stood behind her, is shrugging with both of his arms outstretched. To the right of the woman is a young man who is being presented to her as a potential marriage match. He has his back to the woman but his grinning face is turned towards her. The young man is being presented by another man, presumably his father, who has his right hand on his son's arm and his left hand pointing towards the woman.
