Physical description
Mahogany tea table with folding half round top over a deep frieze enclosing a well, on turned and tapered legs with pad feet, England, c.1740. The top is made out of two matching boards which are hinged and fixed to each other. The frame is veneered with mahogany. The frame has a lock and escutcheon which could be original although it is secured with modern screws.
