Physical description

Glazed earthenware tea cup saucer, transfer printed with `Homemaker' pattern in black on white ground. The pattern comprises stylised 50s contemporary-style household objects including Robin Day-designed Hille chair to one side. The Homemaker range was designed in 1956-7 by Enid Seeney for Ridgway Potteries Ltd.. Retailed through Woolworths 1958 to c.1970. This piece was produced in 1968 (`68' on backstamp refers to the year of production).
