Brass candle snuffer and stand based on a silver form, with a hexagonal pyramidal stepped base, the hexagonal form continuing up to the socket. The stem is formed from two concaves with a knop in the middle, and has seams from casting. It has a slightly tapering socket with a handle and broad bands at the top and bottom. A pair of snuffers with scissor-like handles and a pointed tip sit in the socket. The join where the point was replaced is visible. There is some filing on the side of the handle.
