Teapot made from porcelain with washy blue underglaze painted decoration. The teapot has a squat shape, with a short spout and round handle. The main body of the teapot is decorated with a flowering prunus rising from ornamental rocks, and the neck is decorated with a band of a running 'key fret' or square spiral design. The lid, which has a hole in the top, is decorated with fan-shaped lotus motifs and groups of four diamonds. It has a round knop. There is further decoration in blue on the spout and handle.
The body of the porcelain has some inclusions (small black specks) in the surface, and one small firing crack.
