Content description

This print depicts two men and two women seated at a square card table, playing a card game in an interior. The walls of the room are pale green and decorated with two gilt framed pictures. The room has a floral patterned carpet and the window is covered with pale lilac curtains with a draped top. The scene depicts a confrontation, which appears to be about the game of cards, between the older woman, who has won four tricks and the younger woman who has won nine tricks at cards. There is a dog in the foreground of the picture, between the two women, which is shown barking. On the right hand side of the picture two candles and part of a sconce are shown.
