This print is in two parts, illustrating two women in elaborate dresses in two domestic interiors dated 1757 and 1827. The interior dating from 1757, has a window with a semi-circular top and small diamond shaped panes of glass. The room has a decorative frieze and is furnished with a desk, two chairs and a clock. The interior dating from 1827 has a patterned carpet and is furnished with a piano, clock, mirror and a decorative frieze. The window in the 1827 interior has larger rectangular panes of glass and has a curtain with a draped pelmet.
