Physical description

The arms of these wrought iron fire tongs have a central stem knop with ridges on either side, and a second knop towards the handle. A curved section with pointed ends connects the arms to the handle, meeting a round section with a stylised flower motif. The handle has knops at either end and is surmounted by a stylised acorn-shaped finial. There is a striation (or groove) running up the handle.
