One of a pair of wrought iron fire dogs with turned brass finials, arched legs and tapered uprights, decorated with raised decoration of Xs and carved feather motifs. Probably made in England, or possibly France, c.1600-1700.

One of a pair of wrought iron fire dogs with turned brass finials and arched legs decorated with wrought iron scrolls. The spike of the iron comes through the finial right to the top. The uprights are tapered and the fire dogs are decorated with raised decoration of Xs and carved feather motifs.
