Plant stand, mahogany. The stand is formed of a square top with shamfered edges attached to four square tapering legs which flare outwards. The legs support a shelf, approximately one third of the way up from the bottom, formed of two stretchers running between the legs on two sides with inset cross stretchers running between these onto which is fixed a mahogany disc. The disc has been turned to form a rim around the outside like a saucer. The underside of one of the stretchers which form an apron under the square top has a stamped mark 'K I 097.' The joints are mainly glued, but the top and circular part of the shelf are screwed on. The colour and patina of the different elements vary, the top especially having suffered from blooming and fading.
