Television, Murphy colour television, model CV2215 housed in a white painted wooden casing on a chrome plated tubular steel stand, with a 22" screen. The television has a speaker grill, formed of horizintal slots cut into the casing to the right hand side of the screen. The control panel is on the top of the television, and runs from side to side. Its profile is triangular in section and is made of a black plastic casing with brushed stainless steel plate inside, printed with the Murphy (Rank Radio International Limited) logo and 'Murphy COLOUR/acoustic de luxe' close to the left hand side. Towards the right hand side of the panel are knobs for on/off/volume, contrast, brightness and colour, as well as six buttons for channels - BBC 1, BBC 2, ITA 1, ITA 2 and two spares. The stand has a stem formed of four chrome-plated steel tubes which flare outwards to form two triangles which form the horizontal base. The reverse of the television is enclosed in a black moulded plastic casing, which has an aerial socket and a label stuck to it which is printed with information about the television. There is a serial number 349A/27383 on a label attached to the back edge of the casing, and below this a sticker with the donor's details. There is also a flex with plug. (Television was supplied with colour printed brochure 55/1999-2.)
