Label text for the exhibition At Home with the World, Geffrye Museum (20 March 2012- 9 September 2012):

Vase
Painted and glazed earthenware
Pattern by Inge-Lise Koefoed, manufactured by Royal Copenhagen, Denmark
Pattern designed 1961, this version made between 1992 and 1999

This vase was designed in 1961 and made for several years afterwards. The vase on display here was made much later, in the 1990s when the design was used again, showing an enduring demand for this type of mid-twentieth century object, even decades after it was first created.
