Physical description

Bowl, of semi-spherical form. Enamelled inside and outside in cobalt blue. On exterior of bowl, closest to rim, is a white painted double petal motif, dotted regularly around the edge. The petal motif looks like an oval vertically split in two. Edge of bowl rim is beginning to rust. Bottom of bowl has small flat circular base. On base of bowl is white printed inscription with the words 'MADE BY CATHRINEHOLM. NORWAY' set as a circle. Inside this circle is a trademark signature 'C' with a wavy line attached to centre of letter. The 'C' is broken into four parts. Bowl was probably designed by Grete Korsmo, although there are no identifying marks to confirm this.
