This small greenish glass vase is a Whitefriars piece, probably designed by Harry Powell, the grandson of the glasswork's founder. The poppy-seed-head shape, pattern number 837, is decorated with vertical pincer marks and was manufactured in the Whitefriars factory south of Fleet Street from 1888-1914.
